Sarangkot

Sarangkot

A hilltop viewpoint famous for sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, and the main launch point for paragliding in Pokhara.

Perched at 1,592 m above sea level, Sarangkot is Pokhara's most celebrated viewpoint and the premier destination for witnessing Himalayan sunrises. As dawn breaks, the sky transforms into an extraordinary canvas of pink and gold, illuminating the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) in dramatic relief.

Sarangkot is also the world-renowned launch pad for paragliding — certified pilots take visitors soaring over the valley and Phewa Lake, with the entire Annapurna panorama spread before them.
